Inclusive Schools Week
Dear Parents & Caregivers:
Inclusive Schools Week will be celebrated December 5-9, 2016, in classrooms, schools, and communities throughout the world. Inclusive Schools Week highlights and celebrates the progress schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to ALL students, including those who are marginalized due to disability, gender, ethnicity, geography and language.
At Fort Washington Elementary School we will plan to celebrate with a “Spirit Week.”
Monday, December 5
“Unity Day” Wear either your FWES Spirit Wear or our school colors RED and BLUE.
Tuesday, December 6
“Everyone Counts Day”: Wear jerseys or shirts with numbers
Wednesday, Dec. 7
“Mobility Day” Wear your sneakers.
Thursday, December 8
“Warm up to a new Friend Day” Wear your favorite “warm ups” or workout clothes
Friday, December 9
“I am Blue-tiful” Day” Wear BLUE or anything that makes you feel happy..
One way to celebrate at home is to encourage your child to participate in our No Place for Hate Drawing Contest.
